Frequently Asked Questions – Gold Coast – Brisbane Airport Shuttle Bus Transfers
Link Transfers operates an airport shuttle bus service from the Gold Coast Airport to Brisbane and return.
To arrange your seat in our airport shuttle bus between Brisbane and the Gold Coast Airport, simply click ‘book your Brisbane and Gold Coast Airport Transfer now’ or email us at email@example.com. A Link Transfers airport shuttle bus will collect you from Brisbane and deliver you to the Gold Coast Airport (Coolangatta Airport, OOL) or vice versa.
For our Gold Coast service, our 20-minute pick-up window means that the shuttle bus will arrive within 20 minutes of your scheduled pickup time. For example, if your pickup time is 10:00 am, the airport shuttle will typically arrive between 10:00 am and 10:20 am. Please make sure that you are completely ready to go 5 minutes before your scheduled pickup time window as this is a shared service and the driver cannot hold up the service for late passengers.
Link Transfers are able to keep their prices low for their transport service to and from the Gold Coast Airport and Brisbane as you share your ride with other passengers. The transfer service offered is much more convenient than lugging bags through public transport, or driving and parking at the Gold Coast Airport where your car may be exposed to damage, with prices much lower than a limousine or taxi.
Frequently asked Questions:
What services do you provide?
Link Transfers provides shuttle bus transfers between Brisbane suburbs and the Gold Coast Airport. We do not pick up from Gold Coast hotels or residences. For example, we do not currently have a door-to-door service operating between Gold Coast suburbs and the Brisbane Airport. However, we do offer transport from the Gold Coast Airport to the Brisbane Airport.
Where do you pick up from in Brisbane to go to the Gold Coast Airport?
We offer 2 levels of service to the Gold Coast Airport; Door-to-Door and “Bus Stop”. To keep travel times down, not all suburbs are serviced door-to-door, some suburbs will only have central bus stop locations. Being picked up at a “Bus Stop” location is cheaper than being picked up Door-to-Door.
Our door-to-door suburbs where we can pick you up from your house or hotel and take you to the Gold Coast (Coolangatta) airport are:
Albion, Annerley, Ascot, Auchenflower, Bowen Hills, Breakfast Creek, Brisbane CBD, Chermside, Clayfield, East Brisbane, Eagle Farm, Fortitude Valley, Gordon Park, Greenslopes, Hamilton, Hendra, Herston, Highgate Hill, Holland Park, Holland Park West, Kanagaroo Point, Kedron, Kelvin Grove, Lutwyche, Macgregor, Milton, Mount Gravatt East, New Farm, Newstead, Northgate, Nundah, Paddington, Petrie Terrace, Robertson, Runcorn, Slacks Creek, Southbank, South Brisbane, Spring Hill, St Lucia, Sunnybank, Taringa, Tarragindi, Teneriffe, Toowong, Underwood, Upper Mt Gravatt, Wavell Heights, West End, Windsor, Woolloongabba, Wooloowin, with others by request.
When you are making your booking, please do not choose a suburb which we service and then enter an address in a suburb we do not service. If you think your house is conveniently located next to one of the suburbs we service, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and ask us if we can pick you up at that location. Otherwise, if Door-to-Door bookings are made in suburbs that are not listed, these booking will be cancelled.
The suburbs where we have discounted Bus Stop pick-up locations are:
Beenleigh, Brisbane CBD, Chermside, Coomera, Fortitude Valley, Indooroopilly, Kangaroo Point, Kelvin Grove, Logan Hyperdome, Mt Gravatt, Paddington, Ormeau, Springwood, St Lucia, Sunnybank, Sunnybank Hills, Taringa, Toombul Cento, Toowong.
Bus Stop locations are cheaper than the door-to-door service as they take less time for the bus to reach. If you click “book now” and choose your suburb, you will be provided with the exact address of the Bus Stop pick-up locations.
Where do you pick up from at the Gold Coast Airport?
Your driver will meet you inside the airport at the “Take Me With You” cafe which is located inside the International arrivals area of the Gold Coast (Coolangatta) Airport. Your driver will be wearing a blue Link Transfers polo and holding a sign with your name on it. Your driver’s mobile phone number is 0450 789 408 (only monitored during driving hours). If you are delayed in customs or otherwise past the departure time, please contact your driver on the number provided. If you do not call the driver and you are delayed, the driver cannot be sure if you boarded the plane (due to privacy laws the airline cannot confirm passengers) and does not know if he/she should wait for you. This mobile phone number is also provided on your booking confirmation.
What happens if the flight is delayed or it takes a long time to get through customs and I am late for my service?
Whilst it is easy for us to control the timing and reliability of our service to the Gold Coast Airport, sometimes there are events outside of our control which affect our service from the Airport. In the event that a flight is delayed a short time, your driver will delay the bus service a short time and wait for passengers. However, if there is a significant delay to one flight, but all other flights have landed on time, the driver cannot make all the other passengers on the bus wait for significantly long times at the airport for your plane to arrive. In these cases, waiting on late arriving passengers will be made on a case-by-case basis taking into account the needs of the on-time passengers. If you have booked a service but the bus has to leave without you due to issues outside your control such as flight or customs delays, you will be provided with a full refund. Also, in this rare event, Link Transfers will be happy to provide you with information about alternative forms of transportation.
If I am arriving at the Gold Coast Airport from overseas and then flying out from the Brisbane Airport later that day, what time should I book my Brisbane departure?
The Gold Coast Airport is much further from the Brisbane Airport than some people expect. In addition, flights can be delayed or traffic can be disrupted. If you are landing in at the Gold Coast Airport in the morning (eg 8am) and booking a flight from the Brisbane Airport, we would strongly recommend that you do not book a flight prior to late afternoon. It is strongly recommended that you do not book a flight in the early afternoon, for example, as even if you make your flight you will probably find it a very stressful experience.
What age is your children’s rate?
3 years to 12 years inclusive. Children under 3 years travel free if they are nursed.
Do we have to pre-book or can I just turn up at the departure locations?
Bookings are essential as the service does not stop at locations where there are no bookings.

If you are bringing a surfboard/snowboard you must notify us when you book so that we can make arrangements for it. It must also be less than 2 metres long.

If you would like to pay by cash or using your credit or debit card at the time of collection, please email us your booking to email@example.com with your name, phone number, flight, date of travel and pickup and drop off locations.
